Tenet Outraged by Bush’s Misquote of “White Men Can’t Jump” Reference

Saying that he was only talking about a pivotal scene from the Hollywood classic “White Man Can’t Jump,” former CIA director George Tenet alleges in his new book that the Bush administration intentionally took his words out of context in order to justify the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

“I said to the President, ‘And then Wesley Snipes slipped past the defender, leapt into the air…and made a slam dunk!’ How he equated this with Saddam Hussein’s quest for nuclear weapons is beyond me.”

White House spokesman Tony Snow was quick to pounce: “Even though I have a very soothing voice which would lead you to entrust me with house-sitting your pets, I have some skeletons in my closet which leave me open to blackmail. Therefore I condemn Mr. Tenet as a lying sack of bleached flour who needs to abandon this ploy of selling books on the back of anti-Bush propaganda.”

The SNS crack research team rented a copy of “White Man Can’t Jump” and skipped to the aforementioned “slam dunk” scene. Indeed one of the extras in the background appears to resemble Saddam Hussein if he were a white rollerblader in purple shorts. Therefore we side with Mr. Tenet and recommend that you purchase his memoirs, “At the Center of the Storm: My Years at the CIA,” so as subsidize his retirement and to read more lies about the 9/11 “attacks.”
