Beloved Black Preacher Asked To Death By Madman

It was a gruesome scene outside of Chicago’s Holy Divinity Church last Saturday night: the Rev. Cornell Green lay dead after a seemingly senseless attack. The beloved preacher had just finished a sermon on unity when he exited the building and a madman came out of the shadows who bombarded him with a series of tough questions.

Edward Davis witnessed the attack:

“Dude come out and just start aksing him all these questions. ‘Who was the third president of the United States?’ ‘What is the tallest mountain in Asia?’ ‘If a train leaves Newark at 80 miles an hour and another train leaves Chicago at 65 miles per hour, where will they meet?’ Man it was brutal.”

The attack lasted no more than a minute and the murderer escaped during the ensuing chaos. The police have no leads and Green’s widow Myra is reaching out for help.

“We are all devastated by this senseless killing and I am aksing anyone who may know anything to please call in to the tip line. It’s anonymous, you don’t have to give your name. Just help, that’s all we aks.”
